About Us….

The name SKY-WAY MESSAGES was first coined in 1996 and appeared in 1997. Some tangible means of identification for the spoken and written ministry of Martin Girard had been sought. Martin had been involved in evangelism (through preaching and tracts) and Bible teaching for some years already but had become increasingly concerned that many professing Christians were losing sight of the heavenly destiny of the Church. SKY-WAY MESSAGES developed from this burden.

The Gospel is a message of Salvation and deliverance from this present evil world (Galatians 1:4). Those who belong to the Lord Jesus Christ are described as citizens of heaven and are awaiting His return (Philippians 3:20-21). Although living on earth, they do not really belong here. They are “strangers and pilgrims” (1 Peter 2:11) who desire heaven rather than earth (Hebrews 11:16). The Lord Jesus Christ has promised to return for His people in order to take them to heaven to be with Him (John 14:1-3). While waiting for Him to come they are therefore to live on earth as the citizens and ambassadors of heaven (Colossians 3:1-4).

SKY-WAY MESSAGES endeavours to emphasize these biblical truths – pointing men and women to the Lord Jesus Christ as the only hope for lost mankind and then seeking to instruct those who believe in the ways of God. The SKY-WAY MESSAGES logo depicts this – the red (which starts at the cross) speaking of redemption through His blood, and the blue directing us to heaven. Between the two lies the pathway God’s people are to tread. The slogan Pointing People Heavenward has been used. Articles written for Christian magazines in the past, as well as new material of a challenging and encouraging nature, is now being collated in volumes of SKYWORD – an internet teaching resource for the 21st Century.

We are non-denominational and evangelical – though we regret that “evangelical” has now become a rather broad concept. Simply stated we are “Bible Christians” who base our beliefs entirely on the Word of God. We subscribe to the fundamental truths of Christianity which we have set out as plainly as possible in our DOCTRINAL BASIS.
